Strauss Elite Brand Products Recalled Worldwide
The recall comes as more than 100 Elite-branded kosher chocolates, cakes, wafers, candies and more are also recalled in the United States kosher market due to potential salmonella contamination.
The kosher confectioneries are being recalled as they were manufactured in a facility in which salmonella was detected in the production line. It was also detected in the liquid chocolate used for the production of the finished products, thet recall states.
The recall has been massive overseas. Israel’s Health Ministry Director-General Nachman Ash announced that Strauss Group’s Elite factory in Nof Hagalil would be shut down for the next three months as the company investigates the salmonella contamination, according to The Times of Israel.
