Tesco has recalled some of its soup products due to concerns that they may contain metal fragments. If you purchased Tesco Chicken and Vegetable cup soup with croutons, you should check the label to see if it has been recalled as the products are not safe to eat.

The Tesco recall includes the 100g 5-pack of Tesco Chicken and Vegetable cup soup with croutons, with a best before date of 31 October 2023. The Julian code is 2098.

“We have been made aware that one date code of Tesco Chicken and Vegetable cup soup with croutons 110g may contain small pieces of metal,” Tesco said in the soup recall notice.

If you purchased the recalled Tesco soup products, you should not eat them, according to the Tesco recall notice. Consumers should return the soup to the store from which it was purchased for a full refund. No receipt is required to receive a refund.

“Tesco apologises to our customers for any inconvenience caused,” the Tesco soup recall notice states.

Tesco Also Recalled Hog Roast Style Pork With Apple Sauce

Earlier this year, Tesco announced that it was recalling Tesco Hog Roast Style Pork with Apple Sauce because the product may be contaminated with salmonella.

The Tesco recall notice states that the crackling crumb sachet may contain salmonella, which can make people sick if they consume the bacteria. Tesco urged consumers not to eat the recalled products and to return them to a Tesco store for a refund.
