Bishop Claims Coronavirus Protection, Cure Claims Are Not Fraud

Bishop Climate Wiseman, of the Kingdom Church in Camberwell, has pleaded not guilty to the fraud charges brought against him at Inner London Crown Court. He faces two other charges under consumer protection laws.

Wiseman allegedly sold bottles of “Diving Cleansing Oil” or “Divine Plague Prevention Kits” with the oil and red yarn to congregants. The prosecution calls Wiseman’s claims of protection “untrue and misleading”.

The preacher reportedly maintains that he should be free to practise his religion. His defense statement noted that he is not an “anti-vaxxer” and argued that he did not advertise the products in a dishonest” or “deceitful” way, according to the Independent UK

Wiseman is currently out on unconditional bail and will face trial on 11 July 2022.
