Classic Cuisine Midlands Ltd Recall Overview: 

  • Who: Classic Cuisine Midlands Ltd recalled nine of its products, including certain kebab, samosa, pakora and khatlama. 
  • Why: The recall was initiated after it was discovered the products contained unlabelled celery and mustard. 
  • Where: The recall is nationwide across the UK. 

Classic Cuisine Midlands Ltd announced it is recalling nine of its products after it discovered they contained celery and mustard, which were not mentioned on their labeling. 

The recall was initiated over concerns of a possible health risk for anyone allergic to celery or mustard, the company said. 

The affected items include certain packs of its Classic Cuisine Shish kebab, Shami kebab, Chicken Kebab, Vegetable samosa, Lamb samosa, Chicken samosa, Chicken pakora, Tandoori pakora and Lamb khatlama products. 

All of the products have use by dates of between Jan. 25, 2022, and Feb. 2, 2022. 

Customers With Allergies Asked Not To Eat The Products

Classic Cuisine is asking customers with allergies to celery or mustard not to eat the products and return them to their place of purchase for a full refund.

A similar recall was issued earlier this month by Aldi after allergy concerns led it to recall its Moser Roth The Collection Milk, White and Dark Chocolates. 

Also this month, allergy concerns caused Welsh Specialty Foods to recall its Welsh Chunky Piccalilli, after discovering they contained undeclared mustard.
