Coca-Cola reportedly issued a recall in Europe for multiple beverages over concerns they contain elevated levels of chlorate.
The recall includes batches of Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Minute Maid and Fuze Tea beverages with the production codes 328 GE to 338 GE that were primarily distributed in the Netherlands Belgium and Luxembourg, reports APNews.
Coca-Cola said it is also in contact with authorities in France, Germany and Great Britain, where the company said a “very limited quantity” of the recalled drinks were shipped, reports APNews.

Chlorate is a chemical found in chlorine disinfectants that are used to treat water used for food processing and has been linked to potentially serious health problems — particularly in children, reports the Associated Press.
Experts, however, reportedly say a consumer would have to drink a large amount of chlorate to suffer from vomiting or other serious health issues.
Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition expanded a recall of Enfamil Nutramigen LGG Stage 1 and Hypoallergenic formula powders into the U.K. and Ireland in January. The recall was initiated over concerns the formula had been exposed to Cronobacter sakazakii.
