The issue stems from the possibility that the Tesco Chocolate Affogato Dessert may contain pieces of plastic, rendering it unsafe for consumption, according to the recall notice.

Tesco advises customers to return affected desserts for refunds
Tesco has urged customers who have purchased the affected Tesco Finest Summer Edition Chocolate Affogato Dessert not to consume it. Instead, they are advised to return the product to any Tesco store to receive a full refund.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) states: “If you have bought the [affected] product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to any Tesco store for a full refund.” The reference number for the FSA recall is Ref: FSA-PRIN-16-2026.
