- Where: The recall is effective in England, Wales and Scotland.
St Helen’s Farm is recalling its goats butter products after small fragments of metal were found in the butter, which is sold in England, Wales and Scotland.
The company said in a recall notice that “the possible presence of metal makes this product unsafe to eat.”
All 250-gram packs of St Helen’s Farm Goats Butter with a best before date up to and including March 13, 2022, are being pulled from the shelves. The company is urging anyone with the butter not to eat it and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund with or without receipt.
Over the past two months, a number of food and beverage products have been recalled in the United States due to contamination from metal fragments that is reportedly occurring during the manufacturing process.
The metal fragment contamination has affected products such as blueberries, cupcakes and Kool-Aid, among others.
On November 24, Conagra Brands, Inc. announced the voluntary recall of four lots of its Birds Eye Broccoli Tots in 12 ounce packages after customers found metal fragments and small rocks in the tots — two of whom were left in need of dental work.
