Aldi Eat + Go Chicken & Bacon Caesar Wrap Salmonella Recall Overview:

  • Who: Aldi is recalling its Eat + Go Chicken & Bacon Caesar Wrap and Eat + Go Chicken & Bacon Caesar Wrap Triple.
  • Why: The products may contain salmonella.
  • Where: The recall is effective in England, Scotland and Wales

Aldi is recalling certain Eat + Go brand chicken and bacon wraps as they may contain salmonella.

The recall was announced in a notice posted May 10 to the UK Food Standards Agency website.

The recall applies to EAT + GO Chicken & Bacon Caesar Wraps and EAT + GO Chicken & Bacon Caesar Wrap Triples with use-by dates of 11 May and 12 May. The product codes are 20236 and 86755.

Aldi is recalling the wraps due to a possible presence of salmonella, the company says.

“Customers are asked to return this product to their nearest store where a full refund will be given,” the recall notice says.

The wraps were distributed in England, Scotland and Wales.

Aldi Wrap Customers Can Receive Full Refund

Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products, the recall says. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.

The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.

The Food Standards Agency is advising customers not to eat the products and to return them to the nearest Aldi for a full refund.

Salmonella symptoms  usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

In January, Aldi recalled packs of white, milk and dark chocolates because they contained undeclared egg.

I shop at Aldi regularly and have had one of these in the past few months! What if I got sick from it?!! They can’t just recall ready meals and expect it to be all good, it’s a ready meal so people are gonna eat it soon after they buy it!!
