Morrisons breaded chicken recall overview:

- Why: The products may contain small pieces of glass.
- Where: The recall is effective nationwide.
Morrisons recalled several breaded chicken products because they may contain pieces of glass.
The UK Food Standards Agency posted the recall notice to its website June 15.
The recall relates to Morrisons Breaded Chicken Goujons, Morrisons Breaded Chicken Nuggets, Morrisons Breaded Chicken Platter and Morrisons Breaded Chicken Steaks with various best-before dates that can be checked here.
These products may contain small pieces of glass that present a safety risk, the Morrisons recall says.
“Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt,” the company says.
No other products are affected by this issue.
Morrisons to inform consumers of recall with point-of-sale notices
The Morrisons recall did not state whether any consumers had been injured by the pieces of glass so far or how the glass got into the breaded chicken products.
The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.
Retailers will display point-of-sale notices in all stores that sell the chicken products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought them.
In March, Morrisons recalled its Elements Scented Tin Candles due to fears the candles could spark fires while burning.
