Aldi Primula Spicy Cheese N Jalapeno recall overview:

  • Who: Aldi recalled its Primula Spicy Cheese N Jalapeno product.
  • Why: There is a temperature control issue that could potentially spoil the product.
  • Where: The recall affects a number of Aldi stores in the Midlands area.

Aldi recalled its Primula Spicy Cheese N Jalapeno in certain stores as it may be spoiled by poor temperature control.

The Food Standards Agency posted the recall on its website July 19. The recall applies to Primula Spicy Cheese N Jalapeno with all use-by dates up to and including 07 February 2023.

The product is being recalled “because of a temperature control issue that could potentially spoil the product, which may be unsafe to eat,” the Aldi recall notice states.

Aldi recall not effective at all stores

The issue only affects Primula Spicy Cheese N Jalapeno sold at a limited number of Aldi stores in the Midlands area. A full list of affected stores is available on the Aldi website

“If you have bought the above product do not eat it,” the recall states. “Instead, return it to the Aldi store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

Aldi will display point-of-sale notices in affected stores, the recall says. The notices explain why the product is being recalled and tells customers what to do if they have bought the product.

The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.

Meanwhile, Aldi recently recalled certain Eat + Go brand chicken and bacon wraps as they may have contained salmonella.

And in January, BakeAway recalled 16 of its raw pastry products, including Aldi and Tesco Ready Roll Pizza Dough, after salmonella was discovered in the products.
